Ignoring show visitors is the best way to lose business

In economic times like these where companies continue to cut back and control costs, why give our customers and potential customers the opportunity to opt out? At two recent trade shows I watched staff ignore visitors who willingly entered their space and tried their products without a single staffer communicating. For a customer who may not be recognized by all staff, what an insult. And worse, the customer may consider looking elsewhere. For the prospect who may have been considering you, most likely they will consider others who may show more interest. So to make the most of all opportunities, make sure you ready your staff to make every visitor feel welcome. Otherwise, they may find their jobs redundant by not making the most of every opportunity.
